Support from your academic School:

Academic schools implement recommendations

How to contact:
Email the Disability Contact in your academic School with disability-related queries

What they offer:
1. Academic schools implement recommendations made for teaching and learning.
2. Your School also manages the process of mitigating circumstances, including extension requests and additional consideration

Funded support for taught UK students

How to apply:
Disabled Students Allowances (DSA). Apply via your funding body by completing the application form, providing evidence and having a needs assessment.

What they offer:
Examples of funded support, depending on impact of disability:

· One-to-one study skills tutor
· One-to-one specialist mentor
· Assistive technology software
· Laptop (£200 student contribution)
· Ergonomic equipment
· Taxi allowance
· Printing, ink & paper allowance
