General Careers Support

Say hello to the Careers Service! | Your snapshot guide to who we are and what we do

The Careers Service is here to support you throughout your university journey and beyond. Sign up to MyCareer to find tailored vacancies, events, and opportunities.

You can also book appointments with our knowledgeable Careers Advisors for personalised advice and guidance. We help students at all levels and interests — whether you have a 10-year plan or are still exploring options.

Meet Your Named Contacts: The EPAs

Meet the Employability and Progression Assistants (EPAs): a team of recent graduates from underrepresented backgrounds dedicated to helping students like you.

Whether you’re just starting your career planning, need application support, or have any career-related questions, the EPAs are your go-to contacts in the Careers Service. Click here to learn more about the EPAs and how to get in touch.

Get Started with Our Daily Careers Service Drop-Ins: For Students, By Students!

Did you know that you can drop into the Careers Centre for initial, friendly, and informal support to help you start with your career planning? Our team of student Peer Support Assistants (PSAs) are available Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm each weekday, term-time. Come along for help with:

  • Accessing the Careers Service, including understanding our valuable resources (CV Checker, MyCareer, and more)
  • Understanding how to book an appointment, workshop, or event
  • Basic CV and cover letter queries
  • Initial questions about placements, study abroad and mentoring
  • Signposting to specialist support
